Todd Abrams of the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research reports that LIMR will once again receive the proceeds of two golf tournaments this summer; the 7th Annual Fight from the Fairway Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 16, 2008, and the Pharmalinx Charity Golf Outing on Monday, September 15, 2008. Various sponsorships are available and golfers are always needed for both events. Any level of participation offered by you or your organization would be greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance for considering supporting these organizations who are working hard to raise funds for LIMR. The July 11th Practical Knowledge Series workshop on "Recruiting and Structuring Boards for Life Sciences Companies" at LIMR was very well attended. Chris Pavlides of Temple University moderated a panel of experts representing the founder entrepreneur (David St.Clair, MEDecisions), the venture capitalist (Tom Morse, Liberty Ventures), the lawyer (Jeff Nicholas, Fox Rothschild) and the recruiter (Bob Blumenthal, Korn Ferry). The seminar was very interactive, with the audience asking a lot of great questions. The successful gathering also included significant time for networking before and after.
