BioStrategy Partners Featured in Philadelphia Business Journal Supplement

BioStrategy Partners’ Commercialization Germinator Program provides in-house business development services for university-based, healthcare-related research projects with commercial potential.   The goal of the program is to increase the commercial value of proof of concept- and preclinical-stage technologies for future licensing or as the foundation for a start-up life sciences company.

Projects nominated for the Commercialization Germinator by the Technology Transfer Office must propose a compelling social or market need for their products or services, and demonstrate that participation in the Germinator program will have strong potential to increase the commercial value of the intellectual property.

Once nominated, the program accepts applications from faculty members, who enter the program by participating in a diligence review session. A Commercialization Navigator is assigned to serve as a faculty advisor and to assist with the preparation of a milestone-based Commercialization Plan that outlines the work to be completed while the project is part of the Germinator.  In addition, an outside advisory team composed of individuals with market, regulatory or other expertise appropriate to the technology under development may be convened to assist with the completion of business and technical milestones.

For more information about the Commercialization Germinator, please contact Karen J. Hanson, Ph.D., Executive Director at karen.hanson@biostrategypartners.org.
