Diligence Plus^SM

The Diligence Plus^SM program is for scientific founders and beginning entrepreneurs who are building a life sciences company for the first time.  Diligence Plus^SM assesses the company’s business and technology concepts and provides start-up business planning and development services tailored to the needs of the entrepreneur and the company.

The program’s goals are to help client companies advance to their next level of corporate, technical and commercial development, and be better prepared to approach investors, corporate partners and economic development agencies such as Ben Franklin Technology Partners and the Life Sciences Greenhouses.

Each company is required to submit an application.  Upon acceptance and payment of a fee, the Diligence Plus^SM program begins with a formal Diligence Review involving a panel of business, legal, financial and/or technical experts selected for their expertise in the company’s business area and their ability to address the company's specific needs.  After the Diligence Review, the company receives a formal, detailed report summarizing the panel’s business advice and technical recommendations. 

Diligence Plus^SM also provides a customized Development Plan that identifies critical milestones and recommended next steps.  Finally, client companies receive one-on-one mentoring by a BioSP serial entrepreneur and may be offered assistance from a member of BioStrategy Partners' network of service providers.  These service providers include business, financial, legal and technology professionals who work with young companies and inexperienced CEOs on a low-cost, high-quality basis.
