![]() David Sinkway ![]() David Sinkway has over 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience in early-stage, venture capital-backed entrepreneurial organizations. He is currently the senior financial officer for Protez Pharmaceuticals in Malvern, PA, a developer of new antibiotics for difficult-to-treat hospital-based infections, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. As part of the senior management team at Protez, he led Protez to its successful sale to Novartis in 2008, acknowledged by the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Capital Conference as its “Deal of the Year”. Protez was also the recipient of the Eastern Technology Council’s 2007 Enterprise Award for “Emerging Life Sciences Company”. Before joining Protez, Mr. Sinkway spent several years providing financial and consulting services to a variety of early-stage companies and non-profit organizations, and was the director of finance for Destiny WebSolutions, an IT solutions provider to the financial services industry. Prior to that, Mr. Sinkway was the chief financial officer for Adaptive Strategies, a provider of outsourced mobile computer network operations, was director of finance and administration for Spectra Science Corporation, an early-stage technology company producing specialty-engineered photonic materials, and was the controller and director of human resources for EcoScience Corporation, a publicly-held biotechnology firm. As part of the founding management team at EcoScience, he oversaw all seed and early rounds of venture capital financing, several private placements and a successful initial public offering in 1992, as well as being actively involved with several acquisitions and the introduction of the company’s first commercial products. Prior to EcoScience, Mr. Sinkway held a variety of finance and accounting positions with Mercer LLC, GenRad (now Teradyne), and Medusa Corporation. Mr. Sinkway holds an MBA from Babson College and a BS degree in business administration from Northeastern University. |
